2026 Platform and Resolutions

2026 Platform & Resolutions Submissions

The New Hampshire Democratic Party invites registered New Hampshire Democrats to help shape the party’s priorities by submitting platform amendments and proposed resolutions for consideration at the 2026 NHDP State Convention.

The NHDP Platform outlines our party’s shared values and priorities for the state, while resolutions allow Democrats to express positions on federal issues, recognize Democratic leaders, and honor members of our party community.

Platform amendments will be accepted March 16 through April 1, 2026.
Resolutions will be accepted March 16 through April 15, 2026.

Draft Platform Amendments

The NHDP Platform is a statement of values, not a legislative agenda. It reflects the priorities and principles of New Hampshire Democrats and focuses on state-level issues.

The draft platform you are reviewing was prepared by the NHDP Platform Committee, which held six public hearings across the state to gather input from Democrats, advocates, stakeholders, and members of the public. Throughout this process, the committee received and reviewed written and oral testimony on a wide range of issues affecting New Hampshire. Committee members then worked collaboratively to evaluate that input, discuss proposed changes, and thoughtfully incorporate feedback where appropriate. The result is this draft platform, which reflects the shared values, priorities, and vision of Democrats across New Hampshire.

If an issue raised in a platform amendment is determined to be primarily federal in nature, the Platform Committee may refer it to the Resolutions Committee for consideration.

When submitting a platform amendment, please:

  • Specify the section you would like to amend, or indicate that you are proposing a new section
  • Clearly state how you would like the language to be amended
  • Include your name and contact information

In addition to proposing changes to the language of the platform, you may also suggest:

  • Changes to the order of sections
  • The creation of new sections
  • Splitting an existing section into multiple separate sections

All platform amendment submissions must be received by 5:00 PM on April 1, 2026.

After the amendment submission period has concluded, the committee will review all submissions and vote on their inclusion. The committee will submit their final platform to the NHDP no later than April 22nd. The final Platform will be included in the Official Call to the Convention and voted at the State Convention.
