In response to the Associated Press reporting that “more money has been paid in unemployment benefits in New Hampshire in the last 11 weeks than in the last eight years combined,” New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement: “Donald Trump and the NH GOP are patting themselves on the back and attempting to take credit for what they’re alleging is the ‘strongest economy we’ve ever seen’ when they should be taking the blame for the worst unemployment we’ve seen since the Great Depression, because of their outrageously and irresponsibly delayed response to the pandemic." “There is no possible reason to celebrate that 21 million Americans and over 100,000 Granite Staters are unemployed, and over 100,000 Americans are dead because of Trump and Sununu’s chaotic mismanagement of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
