2025 NHDP Officer Elections
FILING FOR OFFICER POSITIONS OF THE
NEW HAMPSHIRE DEMOCRATIC PARTY
FOR 2025-2026 ARE NOW OPEN
​WHAT ARE THE OFFICER POSITIONS?
The positions of State Chair, First Vice Chair, Second Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. Additionally, State Committee members will vote on 6 of the 7 NHDP Rules Committee members, the 7th being an automatic appointment of the NHDP Legal Counsel.
WHO CAN RUN?
Any registered NH Democrat may file for office. To serve as a member of the Rules Committee, you must also be a member of the NHDP State Committee.
WHO ELECTS THE OFFICERS?
The 280+ members of the NH Democratic State Committee. A current state committee list with contact information will be provided to each candidate after the filing deadline. A final list of state committee members eligible to vote in the election will be sent 30 days prior to the election on February 13th.
WHAT ARE THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES?
Each officer’s role is explained in the NHDP constitution posted on www.nhdp.org/party.
WHEN IS FILING DEADLINE?
Saturday, Feburary 8, 2025 at 5 PM. The list of filed candidates will be sent via email to State Committee Members by noon on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
HOW DO I FILE?
By email or mail: deliver your dated statement with which office you wish to run for with your complete contact information to jtormoehlen@nhdp.org;

Letters and emails MUST be received by the date and time above.
WHAT IF I WANT TO RUN AFTER THE DEADLINE?
Write-ins are permitted for each office.
WHEN IS THE ELECTION?
Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 1:00pm
WHERE IS THE ELECTION?
Virtual, on Zoom. Registration information will be sent to all State Committee members in March.
WHAT IF I CAN’T ATTEND THE SATURDAY, MARCH 15th MEETING?
You do not have to be present to be a candidate.
IS THIS A PUBLIC VOTE?
Yes, every member of the Democratic State Committee must sign their ballot for it to be counted (DNC Rules).
WHO CAN ATTEND THE MEETING?
The meeting is open to any New Hampshire Democrat but only State Committee members may vote.
