RAYMOND BUCKLEY
Chair
Raymond Buckley was elected as Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party in 2007. He is currently
serving in his 9th two-year term. Prior to serving as Chair, he served 4 terms as the Party’s 1 st Vice Chair
and 4 years as Executive Director. He has been a member of the Democratic State Committee since
1978, when at age 18 he was elected his County Chair. He first started volunteering at age 8 but his
professional political involvement began when he was a teenage organizer for Jimmy Carter’s campaign
for President in 1976. He has served as campaign manager or in a top role in successful campaigns from
president to school board. In 1986 he was elected to the NH House from Manchester serving eight terms
and served in the House Democratic leadership for a decade. He also served as a city alderman. Ray
served 5 terms as Manchester City Chair. Ray has served on the DNC Executive Committee since 2001,
served as the DNC Eastern Region Chair 2001-2009, President of the Association of State Democratic
Committees 2009-2017. He was the first openly gay Vice Chair of the DNC 2009-2017 and a candidate
for DNC Chair in 2017. Ray served on the DNC Rules and Bylaws committee for 8 years. He was a
delegate to the 1988, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020 Democratic National Conventions
and the NH Delegation Chair 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020. Ray received the NHDP’s FDR Award.
MARTHA FULLER CLARK
1st Vice Chair
Martha Fuller Clark was elected as the 1st Vice Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party in 2007.
She served the residents of Portsmouth as a State Representative (1990-2002) and as a State Senator
(2004-2010 and again 2012-2020). In 2000 and 2002 she was the 1st Congressional District Democratic
Nominee. During her service in the NH State Senate, she served two terms as President Pro-Tem and
Chaired the Senate Energy, Environment and Economic Development Committees.​ In the House, she
was an Assistant Democratic Leader. Senator Clark has served as the former President of the Board
Strawbery Banke, as an adviser to the National Trust for Historic Preservation and is the past President
of Scenic America.​ Martha has served on dozens of local, state and national boards and commissions.
Martha previously as the NHDP Finance Chair and Treasurer. Martha was one of then-Senator Obama’s
Co-Chairs for his 2008 campaign for President in New Hampshire. She is a member of the Democratic
National Committee where she serves on the Resolutions Committee, she previously served on the
Rules and Bylaws Committee. Martha was a delegate to the 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and
2020 Democratic National Conventions and a 2008 Presidential Elector. Martha has received the NHDP
Eleanor Roosevelt Award and Dunfey Kanteres Award. Martha resides in Portsmouth and has three adult children.
MAURA SULLIVAN
2nd Vice Chair
Maura C. Sullivan, a Marine Corps Iraq War Veteran and former VA Assistant Secretary, was elected 2nd Vice Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party in 2023. She previously served as the NHDP's Finance Chair. Since 2019, she has served as the Co-Chair of the NHDP Veterans & Military Families Caucus.

Maura was the New Hampshire Co-Chair for the 2020 Pete Buttigieg for President campaign and the lead NH Buttigieg delegate to the 2020 Democratic National Convention. She was a campaign surrogate for Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton and was a 2008/12 member of Veterans for Obama, campaigning in New Hampshire and across the country. Maura was a 2018 Candidate for Congress in NH’s 1st District, finishing second in an 11-way primary. Maura is a decorated military veteran, who earned the Navy Commendation Medal and a Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal with a Gold Star.

In 2014, Maura was appointed by President Obama to serve as Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Dept of Veterans Affairs and later as Assistant to the Secretary of Defense and Senior Advisor to Navy Secretary Ray Mabus at the Pentagon, where she earned the Distinguished Civilian Service Award. Prior to that, she was appointed by President Obama in 2010 as a Commissioner of The American Battle Monuments Commission. In 2019, Maura was appointed by Congressman Chris Pappas to his Service Academy Nomination Board and also serves on Congressman Pappas’ Veterans Advisory Committee.

Professionally, Maura is a HealthTech executive at Ginkgo Bioworks where she serves as Head of Biosecurity Solutions. During the Pandemic, her team helped K-12 children across the country and in New Hampshire stay in school safer via COVID-19 classroom testing.

Maura holds an MBA from The Harvard Business School, an MPA from The Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA in Economics & History from Northwestern University, which she attended on a ROTC scholarship.
Maura lives on the Seacoast with her husband Marc Sorel, a Navy Reserve Officer, and their two children- Benjamin and Olympia.

MAITRI CHITTIDI
Secretary
Maitri Chittidi is in her third term as NHDP Secretary. She graduated from Bates College with a degree in
Politics and wrote her senior thesis on New Hampshire women in politics. Maitri was awarded the 2017
NH Young Democrats’ J.F.K. “Young Democrat of the Year” Award and currently serves as the
organization’s fundraising coordinator.​ Maitri first became politically active in 2012 as a youth
coordinator and trained volunteers for canvasses for President Obama’s re-election campaign. In 2016
Maitri served as Finance Director for the joint House and Senate Democratic election caucuses. She
remained active in Nashua Democratic politics and campaigned for several candidates including Mayor
Jim Donchess, State Senator Peggy Gilmour, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Maitiri is the first
person of AAPI descent to serve as a party officer.
WILLIAM CHRISTIE
Legal Counsel
William Christie is in his third as the Legal Counsel for the NHDP on March 25, 2017.​ He serves on the
national Voter Protection Committee for the Association of State Democratic Committees. Bill has been
a leader in the Voter Protection program for New Hampshire Democrats for many years. As Legal
Counsel Bill serves as a member of the NHDP Rules Committee. Bill served as the NH National Litigation
Counsel to President Barack Obama’s campaign in 2012. Bill received the NH ACLU’s 2014 Bill of Rights
Award, the NHDP Granite State Justice Award and the NHDP Dunfey-Kanteres Award. He is a member of
the Board of the Friendly Kitchen and formerly on the Board of the Concord Family YMCA. He is a
graduate of Boston College and Boston College Law School and is an attorney at Shaheen & Gordon PA. He is married to Attorney Cinde Warmington, a member of the NH Executive Council.

CAITLIN ROLLO
Treasurer
Caitlin Rollo was elected Treasurer in March of 2022. Caitlin served as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives 2004-2006 representing Manchester’s ward 4, She began her political career while still in high school as a volunteer and member of the Manchester City Democrats. She was elected to the Hillsborough County Democratic Committee in 2002 making her a member of the Democratic State Committee during those two years. From 2003-2005, Caitlin served as the New Hampshire Young Democrats National Committeewoman. After relocating to Rollinsford, Caitlin was elected Chair of the Strafford County Democrats and became a member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic State Committee. More recently she moved to Hopkinton and is now a member of the Merrimack County Democratic Committee and back on the Democratic State Committee. Caitlin was a leading member of the Task Force for a Blue Hampshire that was created following the 2020 election to examine all aspects of the election in order to build a more successful future. Following the Task Force final report, Caitlin became the leading voice in the NHDP working group on Democratic county organizations - creating a county handbook. Professionally she is national union organizer with the NEA and is a community activist. Previously she held several jobs with NEA-NH. She was also an organizer for the UAW. She is recognized as an expert on the extremist group the “Free State Project”. She is an organizational specialist and is heavily involved in the DEIJ movement. Caitlin serves on the board of several progressive organizations. She received the NHDP’s Jefferson Jackson Volunteer Award in 2006 and the NHDP Anita & Norman Freeman Award in 2011. Caitlin graduated from UNH and resides in Hopkinton with her husband, former Representative Mike Rollo and young daughter Elizabeth along with three dogs.

WILLIAM SHAHEEN
DNC Committeeman
Attorney William Shaheen is in his third term as the NH DNC Committee member. Bill has long been
active in New Hampshire politics including being Chair of the 1976 NH for Jimmy Carter Campaign. He
also served as the Chair for Al Gore's 2000 and John Kerry's 2004 successful Primary bids and Co-Chair of
Hillary Clinton’s in 2008.​ He was a top supporter of Joe Biden in 2020. He was a delegate to the 1976,
2016 and 2020 Democratic National Conventions and an officer of the 2004 convention. In 1977,
President Carter asked him to serve as U.S. Attorney for the State of New Hampshire and he held that
position for four years. After that, in 1981, he opened his new practice with Steve Gordon and they have
been partners ever since. Also in that same year, Governor Gallen appointed Bill to be the District Court
Judge for the Durham District Court, he resigned in 1996 when his wife, then state senator Jeanne
Shaheen, announced her candidacy for governor in 1996. He received his BA from the University of NH
and JD from the University of Mississippi Law. Among his many awards Bill received the NHDP’s FDR and
Dunfey Kanteres Awards. Bill and Senator Shaheen have three adult daughters.
DONNA SOUCY
DNC Committeewoman
State Senator Donna Soucy is in first term on the Democratic National Committee. In the senate she
represents District 18, which is comprised of Wards 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 in the City of Manchester and the
Town of Litchfield. Her long record of public service includes three terms as a State Representative, two
terms as a Manchester Alderman, nearly four terms on the Manchester School Board, and serving as the
first female chair of the Manchester Fire Commission. Senator Soucy was elected President of the New
Hampshire Senate on December 5, 2018 and was elected Senate Minority Leader on November 6, 2020.​
In addition to her public service, Donna is an active member of the New Hampshire Bar. She was a
Presidential Elector in 2020 and served as a national convention delegate to the 1996, 2000, 2012, 2016.
and on the Rules Committee in 2008. Donna has received the NHDP’s Eleanor Roosevelt Award and
Burling Legislative Award. A Manchester native, Donna is a graduate of Trinity High School and earned
her Bachelor of Arts from Saint Anselm College and her Juris Doctor from the UNH School of Law.
JOANNE DOWDELL
DNC Member At-Large
Joanne Dowdell was first appointed in 2009 as an At-Large member of the Democratic National
Committee by then DNC Chair Tim Kaine at the request of President Barack Obama. She was
reappointed in 2013 by DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and 2017 by DNC Chair Tom Perez. Prior
to serving in this role, she was elected Secretary of the NH Democratic Party. In 2012 Joanne was a
candidate for congress in New Hampshire’s first congressional district. Joanne served as a Delegate to
the Democratic National Convention in 2008 for President Obama and as an automatic delegate in 2012,
2016 and 2020. Joanne also served as one of NH’s Presidential electors in 2012. Joanne was the first
African American officer of the NHDP and DNC member from NH. She was the first African American
Presidential Elector from NH in history.​ Joanne received the NHDP’s Dunfey Kanteres Award.
