NHDP Statement on New Hampshire’s Electoral Integrity

Concord, N.H. – In response to Governor Chris Sununu’s refusal on NHPR’s “The Exchange” this morning to stand up for New Hampshire’s electoral integrity, Senator Jeff Woodburn (D-Whitefield), Democratic Leader in the Senate, released the following statement:

“Governor Sununu’s refusal – once again – to denounce this ongoing attack on our democracy is unacceptable. This attack is not only an insult to thousands of election workers and volunteers, it also poses a serious threat to the credibility of New Hampshire’s long-held First-in the-Nation primary. Granite Staters expect our Governors to have the independence and strength to stand up to the federal government, but Governor Sununu is much more interested in appeasement of President Trump than standing up for New Hampshire.”
